Most of us find comfort in our own homes, surrounded by
the people and things we love. If you're like me you probably have a
unique style and an idea of your dream house or space, to entertain,
laugh and live in.
Design began before my 4th Birthday when I decided to move my room around and "re-decorate". It continued from there building dream Barbie houses from shoe boxes and lace, complete with room flow, matching carpets and drapes. In high school I achieved a certificate of Academic Achievement in Home Economics, Interior Design Award. In 2000 I graduated from the Southern Alberta institute of Technology, with my diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting, Structural option.
For the past 9 years I have been involved in every aspect of design. From working corporately as a facilities project manager of commercial and retail design across Canada; to being responsible for the western Canada region for a hardwood manufacture; influencing retail stores, designers and architects. I also have helped create that perfect space to come home to, often using my own house as a test lab for my creative juices. This consisted of building various houses and completing renovation projects in Calgary and Ontario. In conjunction with design finding that perfect piece of art to complete a space led me to painting, and I have completed various types of art in acrylic and oil paint.
